  Checotah First United Methodist Church is a fantastic church with a long history in this community but we are moving toward a more glorious future.  We have something for everyone...Bible study...Choir...Bell Choir..."First" Kids...Sunday School and a wonderful ministry in our Thrift Store and Food Pantry.

  We would love for you to check us out either in-person or online.  Our services are streamed on Facebook over our page Checotah First United Methodist Church or on YouTube.

Our Sunday morning schedule is as follows:

9:30am for Sunday School for Adults and Grade School Children

10:50am for Worship (in-house or streamed to Facebook and YouTube)

  • Vacation Bible School

    Step through the mist into a lush, colorful rainforest filled with cascading waterfalls, towering trees, and vibrant wildlife! Rainforest Falls VBS is designed to encourage children to explore the nature of God and plunge into a lifelong adventure of discovering what it means to be rooted in a relationship with Him. Through engaging Bible lessons, music, games, and hands-on activities, kids will grow deeper in faith while having tons of fun. 🐒🦜

    Checotah First United Methodist Church is a warm, welcoming community of faith and our doors are wide open. Whether you’re a longtime member or discovering us for the first time, we’re so glad you’re here. All children are welcome, regardless of church background.

  • Adult Sunday School

    Join us each Sunday morning at 9:30am for Adult Sunday School.  We will explore four major world religions—Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, and Judaism—and compares the beliefs of each with those of Christianity. In examining these major world religions and the beliefs of their followers, Hamilton urges us as Christians to build bridges with others so that we might grow in our faith, seek peace in our world, love our neighbors, and find positive ways to share the gospel.

  • 180 Youth

    Looking for a place where 6th-12th graders can feel comfortable to be themselves and open to what God has in store for them? This is where youth can walk alongside peers and trusted adults to discover, develop, and own their faith; experience God's grace; and engage the world to share God's love.

  • Summer Feeding Program

    School is out for the summer break, but that doesn’t mean the need for food stops. The Checotah First United Methodist Church and The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma are partnered to make sure kids get fed this summer with the Summer Feeding Program.
